The Malone University Women's Basketball won their third straight Great Midwest Athletic Conference as they took down Lake Erie College on Thursday evening.
The Pioneers expanded on their four-point halftime lead with a strong second half showing to earn their eighth straight win in Osborne Hall, dating back to last season.

Brooklyn Troyer and Kyli Horn opened the game with back to back three pointers. This was just a sign of what was to come as the Pioneers scored their highest amount of three pointers as a team this season.
However, the Storm would score 12 unanswered to take a 16-10 lead and would get their largest lead of seven points after an old fashion three point play.
When the first quarter ended, Lake Erie had a four point lead. Halfway through the second quarter, Horn got shot from beyond the arc to tie the game. Brinn Hunt scored a three pointer on a fastbreak on the next Pioneer possession to give Malone the lead. They would never relinquish that lead.
Heading to their halftime locker rooms, Malone had a 44-40 lead. The Pioneers had already sank eight three pointers and fourteen points from turnovers.
Emma Kallas opened the second half of play with a layup and a jump shot. Troyer gave Malone their first double digit lead with another three-point shot.
Anna Krupa's three point shot with 8:17 left in the fourth quarter gave Malone their first 20+ point lead, putting the Pioneers up 76-54. Four minutes later, Brianna Fitzgerald scored to give the home team their largest lead (26 points) and marked the fact that all the Pioneers scored in the game.
THE DETAILS
All of Malone's starters finished the game with double digit points: Brooklyn Troyer (18), Kyli Horn with a career-high (17), Emma Kallas (16), Alexis Hutchison (14), and Erin Kaufman (10).
All nine Pioneers scored in the team effort on the win. Malone finished with 14 shots from beyond the arc and 32 points in the paint. As a team, the Pioneers outscored the Storm 31-9 on points off turnovers and 20-4 on fast break points.
Kaufman pulled down a game-high eight rebounds and dished out five assists. Troyer added six rebounds and grabbed three steals. Nataley Armstrong also had five assists.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Pioneers make the short trip up Market Ave as they face off against their rivals - the Cavaliers of Walsh University. Saturday's tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
