108 coaches at institutions in Stark County earned $30,211 on average in 2022

Stark County’s 108 coaches earned an average salary of $30,211 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the 15th lowest average salary per county earned by coaches at Ohio post-secondary schools during 2022.

Stark County is home to three post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, Walsh University stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $42,680.

Male coaches of men's teams received $35,741 on average in Stark County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $29,773.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
