Hoover High School standout Laila Varney’s college team won in NCAA Division II softball game on Saturday, May 10

On Saturday, May 10, former Hoover High School standout Laila Varney’s current college team, the Charleston Golden Eagles, won 1-0 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Shepherd Rams.

The game took place at North Campus Field. This was their first matchup against the Rams this season.

The Golden Eagles’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, May 10 at 3 p.m. at North Campus Field against Kutztown Golden Bears.
