On Saturday, May 3, former Hoover High School standout Laila Varney’s current college team, the Charleston Golden Eagles, won 4-2 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the West Liberty Hilltoppers.

The game took place at Moyer Sports Complex. This was their fourth matchup against the Hilltoppers this season.

The Golden Eagles’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, May 8 at 10 a.m. at North Campus Field against Kutztown Golden Bears.
