Hoover High School standout Laila Varney’s college team won in NCAA Division II softball game on Wednesday, March 26

On Wednesday, March 26, former Hoover High School standout Laila Varney’s current college team, the Charleston Golden Eagles, won 8-4 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the West Virginia State Yellow Jackets.

The game took place at Lady Jackets Field. This was their second matchup against the Yellow Jackets this season.

The Golden Eagles’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 28 at 3 p.m. at Concord Softball Field against Concord Mountain Lions.
