Wednesday, March 12: Hoover High School standout Laila Varney’s college team loses to Pittsburgh Johnstown Lady Cats

On Wednesday, March 12, former Hoover High School standout Laila Varney’s current college team, the Charleston Golden Eagles, lost 3-0 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Pittsburgh Johnstown Lady Cats.

The game took place at UC Softball Field. This was their first matchup against the Lady Cats this season.

The Golden Eagles’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12 at 4 p.m. at UC Softball Field against Pittsburgh Johnstown Lady Cats.
