Laila Varney, former Hoover High School softball player will compete with her collegiate team for the NCAA Division II Softball Championship

Former Hoover High School standout and current Charleston Golden Eagles player, Laila Varney will compete in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship.

They begin the tournament as a number seven seed against the second seeded Kutztown Golden Bears.

The first game is on Thursday, May 8 at 10 a.m.
