The Kent State lacrosse team (3-6) lost 18-13 to Lindenwood (5-4) this afternoon.
After a tied score of 5-5 at the end of the first quarter, the Lions led in shots on goal 7-6. Kenzie Sklar, who leads the team in goals, secured a hat trick. In the second quarter, Lindenwood had five free position shots and was leading 11-8 at the half.
In the second half, Jackie Wolford scored five back-to-back goals in a row. She recorded seven goals in the game and tied the program's single-game goal record.
Sklar and Wolford now lead the team with 29 goals for the season. Morgan Kubicki had one goal and one assist against Lindenwood. She leads the team with 17 assists.
Up next, the Golden Flashes will take on Akron at Dix Stadium on Saturday, April 1 at 1 p.m.
