Aultman Alliance Community Hospital to Provide Diabetes Education in February | Aultman Hospital
Aultman Alliance Community Hospital (AACH) will hold a diabetes awareness group meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 1, from 1 – 2 p.m. in the hospital’s McAlister Room.
The free awareness group will provide a meet-and-greet for those who choose to attend, and the topic this month is setting goals. The group will discuss why to make a goal, how to make a SMART goal and address blocks to accomplishing goals. The group will continue to meet throughout the year. In addition to the awareness group, Aultman Alliance is also offering a diabetes self-management education/support class in February. This class is for people who want to learn more about diabetes, nutrition, long- and short-term complications, coping, medication and technology. A physician order is required, and the costs for this program may be covered by insurance. The first class will be Tuesday, Feb. 7, from 1 – 3 p.m., and additional classes will take place on Feb. 14 and Feb. 28.
