The University of Mount Union was once again named to The Princeton Review’s 13th annual “Guide to Green Colleges” listing, which features 455 institutions across the country that illustrate a commitment to sustainability.
According to The Princeton Review’s website, institutions are selected for this recognition through a survey that analyzes more than 25 data points regarding sustainability-related policies, practices and programs to establish a Green Rating. Only institutions with a Green Rating higher than 80 on a 100-point scale are chosen for the guide.
"Since we debuted this project 13 years ago, we have seen an increasing interest among college applicants in attending colleges that are committed to the environment and to green practices” said Rob Franek, editor in chief of The Princeton Review said in a press release.
Alongside Mount Union’s beautiful campus and grounds, the University has a Sustainability Management Advisory Council, the Green Raiders sustainability assistant program, offers a minor in sustainability and grants students the opportunity to conduct research at the Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center.
