CAVS STRUGGLE FROM THREE AS THEY FALL TO ASHLAND

Walsh took their first loss of conference play this evening as Ashland outscored the Cavs 37-18 in the second half. Walsh led by one at the break thanks to a quick six points scored in the last few minutes of the first half by Tim Smith Jr. The lead was short-lived coming out of the half. Brandon Haraway couldn't be stopped for the Eagles, going for 22 points. Despite his dominant effort on offense, Walsh did their best to hang around, but poor shooting from three cost the Cavs when they needed it the most. Walsh ended the night shooting an abysmal 24.3% from three, whereas the Eagles soared from beyond the arc, knocking down 9-of-23.
