WALSH FALLS TO FINDLAY ON THE ROAD

The Cavs hit the road this past weekend to face the University of Findlay Oilers. Walsh had momentum leading into this week with their first win coming vs Kentucky Wesleyan last week. It was a defensive battle in the first quarter, only Findlay putting points on the board with three. Early in the second quarter, the Oilers proceeded to kick another field goal to make the score 6-0. Findlay then increased their lead, 13-0, after Dominic Bennett returned an 84-yard punt return for a touchdown. The Oilers kept the scoring going with another touchdown by Derek Lynch. Walsh attempted to answer by scoring a touchdown late in the third quarter, making the score 20-7. The Cavaliers couldn't connect anything in the final quarter, resulting in a road loss.

Records: Findlay 6-4, Walsh 1-8

FOR THE CAVS

  • The Walsh running attack, led by Tai Carter, ran for 111 yards.
  • Diego Bremer had an impressive ten total tackles. Stephen Baugh and Marvin Conkel added nine each. 
  • Quarterback, Ceejay Yarboro, threw for 148 yards with a touchdown.
FOR THE OILERS

  • Oilers offense had a grand total of 272 yards.
  • Bryan Hunt had an four catches for 65-yards.
  • Running back, Derek Lynch, ran for 66 total yards with one rushing touchdown.
The Cavaliers will take on the Northwood Timberwolves, on the road, at 1pm, next Saturday, November 12th.
