Walsh University Appoints Director of Degree Completion and Graduate Enrollment

Walsh University has announced the appointment of Courtney Halter, ’08, ’10, Director of Degree Completion and Graduate Enrollment.  In this role, she is responsible for the leadership, administration and operations of the Graduate Programs (hybrid, in-person and online) and Degree Completion Programs (hybrid, online). 

“We welcome Courtney Halter back to Walsh, her alma mater, and are excited she has joined our Admissions team,” said Vice President for Enrollment Management Rebecca Coneglio. “The expertise she brings to Admissions will support the recruitment, retention and graduation strategies we have created this year to achieve the growth and innovation goals of the University.”

A dedicated leader and problem-solver, Halter has more than 15 years of experience in various areas, including student affairs in higher education, fundraising and development, event management, corporate strategy and board relations.

“I’m looking forward to being back in higher education working with adult learners to accomplish their educational goals and being a part of a campus community where I can offer my experience and talents for future growth,” Halter said.

Prior to joining Walsh, she served as the Executive Director of a non-profit pediatric facility, Margaret B. Shipley Child Health Clinic in Canton, and spent 15 years of her career with the Aultman Health Foundation, working in various roles within Aultman College, Aultman Corporate Administration and the Aultman Hospital Women’s Board.

Halter holds a master’s degree in Business Management and a bachelor’s degree in Education, both from Walsh University.  She is a member of the Women’s Board of Aultman Hospital and has served as a board member of the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank’s Community Harvest board.  Halter is also very active in the community, volunteering for many events.  A mom of two, she enjoys family camping trips, off-road RZR riding and she aspires to become a gourmet chef!
