On the heels of a First Team All-Conference selection by the Great Midwest, senior southpaw Brant Alazaus collected a pair of Second Team All-Region nods from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
Alazaus concluded the season with a great resume on the mound. He started 13 games with one relief appearance in the G-MAC Tournament Final, compiling 85.1 innings pitched and a 2.85 ERA. In 14 games, Alazaus went 7-1 with one save and four complete games. In 85.1 innings, Alazaus totaled 79 hits allowed, 34 runs (27 earned). He walked only seven batters compared to 103 strikeouts.
The left-hander sits in the top five of numerous categories in the conference, the Midwest and Division II.
