Meyers Lake Ace to give away American flags

Meyers Lake Ace will give away free American flags on Saturday, May 28 to honor the Memorial Day holiday.

Ohio lost 1,488 soldiers in the Korean war and 1,919 in the Vietnam conflict.

Consumers visiting the store at 1640 Whipple Ave NW, Canton will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW Walter S. Auer Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.

This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.

Flags will be available at Meyers Lake Ace while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.

Meyers Lake Ace is located at 1640 Whipple Ave NW, Canton, Ohio. This location is owned by Richard Siegal and represented by Robert Moore.
