With the 2022 Great Midwest Baseball Championship completed at Prasco Park, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference announced the 2022 All-Conference Team and Season Awards as voted on by the head coaches of the conference. 

Brady Maciak was voted Freshman of the Year and five Cavaliers earned All-Conference nods in total.

Freshman of the Year

Maciak led the Cavaliers in batting average with a clip of .365/.441/.601 for the season. He tallied 65 hits in 178 at-bats with 38 runs scored, 17 doubles, two triples and seven home runs. He drove in 34 runs and was hit by 11 pitches (leading the team) while stealing six bases. Within the conference, Maciak was sixth in doubles and tenth in batting average. During the season, he had 21 multi-hit games and a season-best hitting streak of 16 games and an on-base streak of 30 games.

First Team All-Conference

• Brant Alazaus (Starting Pitcher)
  • 6-1 with a 2.87 ERA in 13 appearances (12 starts), 4 CG, 78.1 innings pitched, 73 hits, 31 runs (25 earned), seven walks, 93 strikeouts
    • Led the G-MAC with seven walks allowed, four complete games (tied for first)... second in earned run average, innings pitched and strikeouts
    • 1st in Division II with a K/BB ratio of 13.29 and 3rd in D2 with a 0.80 BB/9 ratio

Second Team All-Conference

• Joey Holiga (Outfield)
  • .335 average in 51 games (51 starts), 68 hits, 44 runs, 18 doubles, 11 home runs, 39 RBI, .596 slugging %, 14 walks, ten hit by pitches, six steals, .979 fielding %
    • Team leader in hits, runs, doubles, home runs and 2nd in runs batted in
    • Fourth in the G-MAC in doubles, fifth in total bases and eighth in hits
• Brady Maciak (Outfield)
• Drew Saunier (Starting Pitcher)
  • 4-2 with a 3.80 ERA in ten appearances (eight starts), 47.1 innings pitched, 44 hits, 24 runs (20 earned), 9 walks, 42 strikeouts

Third Team All-Conference

• Jarret Lyon (Utility)
  • .284 average in 51 games (51 starts), 54 hits, 36 runs, 12 doubles, eight home runs, 40 RBI, .484 slugging %, 21 walks, five hit by pitches, .995 fielding %
