After the Army, Caleb is looking forward to applying to PA school and spending a career as a Physician's Assistant. But until then, he looks forward to learning the new experiences that his chapter will bring and is excited to see where the journey can take him.
"I can not thank Mount Union enough for the numerous ways that it has prepared me for my future. As a freshman, it was not easy to move to a new state, but UMU welcomed me from the start and it instantly felt like home. UMU allowed me to use my ROTC scholarship, so that I could not only focus on my Biology major, but also my future military career. I have learned to view the world in a more well-rounded way, and have learned how to actually make a difference in todays society. Being a Biology major while also being actively involved in my ROTC program, was not easy, but it taught me how to take advantage of my time and priorities. My major was challenging, but in all the best ways and I am confident that it has prepared me for my future and provided me with lifelong skills. Mount has pushed me to be the best version of myself which in return has led me to be able to graduate as a Distinguished Military Grad in May, earned the Recondo Badge while at Advanced camp last summer, & was awarded the George C. Marshall award. My course load at Mount challenged me in ways I never realized I needed, but thanks to this and the support UMU provides, I am ready to take on this new stage of life!
It is hard to pinpoint just one favorite memory, as the last 4 years at Mount have all been the best years yet. I enjoyed my time on the football team, where I was able to form life long friendships, and fast forward to those friendships now being my groomsman in my wedding this summer. I also met my future wife my freshman year at Mount as well, so I am forever grateful for UMU and the relationships it has provided me with."
Congrats, Caleb! Thank you for your service, and we wish you all the best! #30DaysofExceptional
