Interact Club donates handmade blankets to foster kids

4

The McKinley Interact Club partnered with The Rotary Club for a blanket-making project day this week. The adults and students worked together to make over 100 blankets for Ohio Foster Care kids! The Rotary Club purchased blanket kits and the finished products are being donated to My Very Own Blanket, an organization dedicated to warming the heart of every child in the foster care system and other youth in need with a blanket.

The McKinley students hope their blankets give kids a feeling of comfort, security, and most of all, a SMILE. Interact Club advisor Suzanne Harding said her students loved that their blankets would go to kids and teens in Ohio. “We had a great turnout and had lots of fun!” she said.
