Ohio Campus Compact recently announced that Kaylee Adkins ’24, a primary education major of Niles, Ohio, was the University of Mount Union’s recipient of the 2022 Charles J. Ping Award.
The Ping Award is designed to recognize and honor undergraduate students for their outstanding leadership and contributions to community service or service-learning on their campus and within their community. Out of the 40 member institutions of Ohio Campus Compact, only 10 students from across the state earned this prestigious honor.
On campus, Adkins is involved in Alpha Phi Omega, Habitat for Humanity and is a student assistant with the Regula Center for Public Service.
“Kaylee demonstrates maturity and compassion while leading her peers and having an impact on our campus and the community at large,” said Mount Union President Tom Botzman. “She is always willing to try new projects, connect with community leaders and advocate for more opportunities on our campus.”
