Malone University Athletic Department issued the following announcement on Feb. 12
The Malone University men's and women's track & field team competed at the Reggie Thomas Collegiate Classic in Tiffin, Ohio on Saturday and the GVSU Big Meet in Allendale, Michigan on Friday and Saturday.
Women's Highlights
In the 400-meter dash, Azure Curtis finished third with a time of 1:02.63.
Logan Ferriucci finished sixth with a personal best distance of 5.20 meters in the long jump.
Onto the throwing events, Natalie Crum threw a career best throw of 14.53 meters in the weight throw.
Leah Metzger, Jocelyn Miller, and Trinitie Woolace finished the 5000-meter run with times of 18:01.33, 18:38.45, and 19:38.29, respectively.
Men's Highlights
Tellis Horne (2nd) and Kabanu Witherspoon (6th) finished the 60-meter dash with times of 6.92 seconds and 7.09 seconds, respectively. Horne and Witherspoon also competed in the 200-meter dash. Horne placed second with a time of 22.43 seconds, and Witherspoon received eighth place with a time of 22.83 seconds.
Chris Beemiller placed sixth in the shot put with a personal best throw of 15.08 meters.
Onto the distance events, Daniel Frase finished 15th in the 3000-meter run with a career best time of 9:18.72.
Lucas Clark competed in the 3,000-meter run, clocking in a personal best time of 8:26.83.
In the 800-meter run, Matthew Kuyken ran a career best time of 1:54.29. Kuyken is now ranked fifth in Malone's All-Time top ten 800-meter run performances list.
Nicholas Michaels finished the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:02.38.
Max Gucker crossed the finish line at the 15:04.45 mark in the 5,000-meter run. Matt Parker also received a personal best time of 15:23.80 in the 5,000-meter run.

On Saturday, February 19, the Pioneers will compete in the Raider Tune-Up hosted by the University of Mount Union.
