Rising home prices in Canton in the second half of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2020 in Canton rose by $59,241 while total sales increased by 78.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2020, there were 1,258 homes sold, with a median sale price of $103,091 - a 135.1% increase over the $43,850 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 704 homes sold in Canton in the second half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Canton for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $2,388, approximately 2.3% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2020.
