Canton Museum Of Art issued the following announcement on Nov. 23.
The Canton Museum of Art has determined at this time that we will re-open with our winter exhibitions on Friday, November 27, continuing to follow all health and safety protocols implemented to keep our visitors safe, in compliance with state and local health guidelines. This includes regular surface sanitizing, limited visitor capacity, and social distancing measures. Our organization feels that we can maintain a safe environment for those who wish to experience our exhibitions in person, while at the same time continuing to provide CMA From Home virtual / online experiences.
Outlets such as art and spaces like museums are critical, we think, for everyone right now. As the Ohio Museums Association notes, every organization is different . . . as long as we are able to maintain our strict health and safety protocols, we wish to be open and serving the public that chooses to visit. We remain in close contact with our state and local officials, and will adjust our practices as appropriate. We thank you for your support! - Canton Museum of Art
